Last updated: 4 October 2026 (minimum age 14; always non-personalised ads)
DRAFT for legal review. Fill in the bracketed items and have a lawyer review it before publishing. Publish it as

1. Who is responsible
Boulder Tracker (the "app") is published by Cristian Felipe Castro Ponce, a natural person trading under the business name BClabs, resident in Villarrica, Chile ("we"). Contact: vulcanoedicionessa@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- The app does not use cookies. A native Android app does not use them.
- The website where we publish these documents (hosted on GitHub Pages) does not set cookies either, and uses no analytics, external fonts, third-party scripts or pixels. That is why we show no cookie banner.
- The free version of the app uses technologies similar to cookies: the Android advertising ID and technical device data, through Google AdMob. They are used for ads only with your consent where the law requires it, and you can change your decision at any time (section 6). Ads are always non-personalised: we do not use those identifiers to profile you or for interest-based advertising.
- The app is for people aged 14 or over.
3. What "similar technologies" are
Besides cookies, there are identifiers and other mechanisms that store or read information on your device, for example the Android advertising ID (a random code you can reset or delete). European and other laws (such as Directive 2002/58/EC, art. 5(3)) require your consent to store or read information on your device unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for. In Chile, Law 19,628 applies and, from 1 December 2026, Law 21,719, which require clear information and free, informed consent for personalised advertising.
4. What the app uses
| Technology | Who | Purpose | When | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Android advertising ID (AD_ID), IP address and technical device data | Google AdMob (Google LLC) | Show and measure ads, limit repetition and prevent fraud | Free version only (without Premium). Ads are not requested until Google confirms it is allowed, and where the law requires it, after your consent | Your consent (Google's form); where consent is not required, the option to review your choice remains available in the app |
| Anonymous purchase identifier | RevenueCat, Inc. | Check your Premium subscription and restore purchases | When the app opens and when you buy or restore | Strictly necessary to provide Premium. It contains neither your name nor your email |
| App local storage (database and files in the app's private space) | Us (on your phone) | Keep your videos, notes, gyms and settings, and remember whether you saw the ads notice or your last Premium status | Always | Strictly necessary for the app to work. It is not sent to us or to third parties |
| Local notifications | Your phone | Training reminders if you enable them | Only if you enable them | Your choice |
We do not use first-party advertising cookies, third-party analytics, social media trackers or cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Minors and non-personalised ads. Boulder Tracker is for people aged 14 or over and is not directed to anyone under 14. Because we cannot verify age, we flag the app so that Google treats all users as under the age of consent, and we request only non-personalised ads (content rated up to PG). This reduces the use of data for advertising but does not eliminate it: Google may still use the advertising ID, IP and device data to deliver and measure ads, cap frequency and prevent fraud. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 14 using the app, or of a 14-17 year old, and want to review or delete their data, write to vulcanoedicionessa@gmail.com (subject "Privacy: minor"); see section 11 of the Privacy Policy.
Premium. With Premium active no ads are shown and the ads consent form is not requested. On a fresh install, the app may take a few seconds to confirm your subscription with Google Play and RevenueCat; offline it uses the last status remembered on your phone.
5. The website (GitHub Pages)
The site with the legal texts is static: it sets no cookies or identifiers in your browser and has no analytics, fonts or third-party scripts. Like any web server, the hosting provider (GitHub, Inc., United States, through GitHub Pages) may log your IP address, browser type and visit time in its logs, for security and operation. We do not have access to those logs and do not use them. See GitHub's privacy statement for more information.
6. How to change or withdraw your consent
- In the app: Settings → Privacy and ads → Manage options. Google's form opens, where you can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what happened before.
- On Android: Settings → Google (or Security and privacy) → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID. The app's ads are already non-personalised; this Android setting also affects other apps.
- Remove ads: subscribe to Premium (managed in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions).
- Residents of California and other US states: you may use your opt-out choices (although we do not run personalised advertising) from the same privacy options menu, where Google shows it for your region, or by writing to us.
- Uninstalling the app deletes the app's local data from your phone.
This does not affect system permissions (camera, microphone, approximate location, notifications), which you can withdraw in Android settings.
7. Where the app is offered
The app is offered in Chile, Latin America and the European Union/EEA. For now it is not offered in the United Kingdom.
8. Your rights and more information
To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and others, or for any question, write to vulcanoedicionessa@gmail.com and see the Privacy Policy. 9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date. If a change means using your data in a different way, we will notify you in the app before applying it.
The full identification details of the provider are available on request by writing to the contact email.
